My camera shutter sound doesn’t turn off even though my phone is on silent but whenever i take screenshot while my phone is on silent the sound is off but while clicking pictures it doesn’t turn off same happens on sc/instagram can anyone help me with this?

Mine just started doing this today along with other sounds from apps. This was NOT normal for this phone prior to today. I did nothing before it started this. I did try installing the latest update just now to see if it helps and it does not. This is annoying and I hate it. What is different?

The shutter sound can not be muted on devices made for sale in some regions (Japan, for example).
Is there any way to know for what region my phone was made?

That's not the device model number.

Check the Mute switch on the side of the phone above the volume buttons.
