Transfer photos from iCloud to new MacBook

Not all my photos transferred from iCloud to my new Macbook. only transferred and cataloged through 2017. Missing three years. How can I get the remainder of the photos to move from iCloud to the MacBook?

All photos didn't transfer over. Using Migration Assistant, most of my photos transferred over from my MacBook Pro late 2013 to my new MacBook Pro Monterey via wifi , but many didn't. Is there a reason for this? And, how do I get them all? I'm afraid that if I start over, I will lose the new ones I've added since I did the transfer, and there are too many to keep track of.

How can I import photos from iCloud to my Mac and keep original data? I want to get old photos off of the Icloud and into my Mac unchanged from the original data. Every time I do a down load, all the pictures date the "Creation Date" as the time I down loaded the picture.

Re-downloading iCloud photos on Mac I am setting up a new computer with Migration assistant. Rather than transferring my photos I would prefer to download them from iCloud on the new computer. How do I do that?

Assuming you've set iCloud to sync all photos, they should all move over

Sometimes you have to wait quite a while for them all to move; try leaving it overnight.
