All photos didn't transfer over.

Using Migration Assistant, most of my photos transferred over from my MacBook Pro late 2013 to my new MacBook Pro Monterey via wifi , but many didn't. Is there a reason for this? And, how do I get them all? I'm afraid that if I start over, I will lose the new ones I've added since I did the transfer, and there are too many to keep track of.

Have you been using iCloud Photos on your old Mac? Then enable iCloud Photos also on your new MBP, so the photos can sync back from iCloud to the new Mac.
