Can't Scroll Mail The Machine Backups 10.15.4

Team, I am very savvy about Mac and system use, but today I accidentally deleted an email in Apple Mail, and emptied the trash. When I try to scroll through Time Machine backups, I can't. It looks like it shows a 'scrollable' history, but I can't click Restore, it doesn't actually cascade back in time by day, time, etc. Any suggestions?
