mail preferences signature window

In Mail Preferences, since the last few versions of OS 10.15, the Signature window is stretched beyond the limits of the screen, which limits my ability to edit new signatures.

This problem happens sometimes in Rules, but in that case I can correct it by flipping back and forth with other options. With Signatures, it seems permanent

Hi charlesfromlaurel,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today. It sounds like your Signature window in Mail Preferences is wide and stretched.

Sometimes this can be due to a long signature title. Are you able to see one? If you hover over the names with your mouse, you should see the full title. If you do, try shortening it.

Let me know how that goes.

There are no extremely long titles in the list, in that I can easily adjust the size of the title frame to show all the titles. I've also had some moderately long signature titles in the past, and this was never an issue.

I suspect, if anything, it may be because I currently have 234 signature blocks recorded. I like to collect quotes.

I should also say that this wouldn't even be a serious problem if they didn't have that annoying "Always match my default message font" option at the bottom of the window, because I also like to play with fans and colors.
