Macbook showing dead, but has been charged. Turn on only with charger.

Hi,

I have Macbook 12. When I open it and want to turn it on, it shows it's dead even though the battery is not 0% (sometimes 80%, sometimes 50%). I plug it into a charger and it starts and shows the right percentage of a battery. Then I can use the Macbook without charger. But I always have to wake it up with help of charger.

The battery status is: "Service battery".

Do I need to replace the whole battery? Thank you

MacBook, macOS 10.15

According to Apple, a Service Battery" means:

The battery isn’t functioning normally. You can safely use your Mac when it's connected to an appropriate power adapter, but you should take it to an Apple Store or Apple-authorized service provider as soon as possible.
