Spam text messages
I have received 10 spam text messages within the past 8 hours. There are 20 other unknown recipients in addition to me. Can someone tell me how this happened and what to do to fix it?
It happens because someone sends spam to your number. They have computer programs that generate the numbers and send everything out. Other than blocking the numbers and reporting them to your carrier, there's not much you can do.
In the U.S., you can report a spam text message to your carrier by forwarding it to 7726 (SPAM).
