Migration Assistant fails silently

I'm trying to transfer my old MacBook Pro to my new MacBook Pro. I've been using the Migration Assistant for the last couple of nights. First I tried over Ethernet and tonight I tried with Thunderbolt.

I can see that files started transferring but without success. All I get is an error occurred, without any further information.

I also tried to set my old MBP in Target Disk Mode, but then it didn't appear in Migration Assistant.

Please help me, I'm getting desperate here.

Thanks in advance!

EtreCheck is a simple little app to display the important details of your system configuration and allow you to copy that information to the Clipboard. It is meant to be used with Apple Support Communities to help people help you with your Mac.

Pastebin is a good place to paste the whole report...

Workable but harder for me to work with...the Note tool on the bottom of this editor's toolbar, as shown in the image, to copy and paste the output from EtreCheck.

There is also Malwarebytes...
