Ever since my last upgrade my music is not uploading to my cloud

since recent upgrades, music from my iTunes library is not uploading to my cloud

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities! I understand that after a recent upgrade, music on your Mac is no longer uploading to iCloud. You've come to the right place for a resolution.


Let's start by ensuring that Sync Library is enabled on all of your devices that you share music across:


Turn on Sync Library with Apple Music - Apple Support


If you're running macOS Catalina on your Mac, I would like to have you open the Music app next. In the menu bar across the top of your screen go to File > Library > Update Cloud Library. If music still isn't uploading as expected, I would like to collect a few more details about what's happening:


  1. What is the status icon that you're seeing next to music that will not upload? Identify cloud status icons in your music library on your Mac or PC - Apple Support
  2. Is music on your Mac missing on other devices or vice versa?
  3. Are you encountering an error or alert when trying to upload music? If not, what's happening?
