iPhone headphones doesn’t work! Need help

iPhone headphones doesn’t work! Need help. When I plug in my charger my iPhone works fine but when I plug in my iPhone headphones (which the same pair works for my sister) the audio still plays through the iPhone speakers. Can’t find anything on YouTube. PLEASE HELP ME !!!

headphones aren’t working this happened a couple days ago and i thought i just broke my adapter but i just got new headphones and they don’t work either, my phone charges fine and the most confusing part is that it registers the headphones are plugged in does anyone know what the problem could be i’ve tried multiple headphones oh and they work on my brothers iphone 8 (i have an xr) and worse case, the deal for my phone is almost up so i’m getting a new phone soon so

lightning headphones not working on iphone 6s hey, I have an iPhone 6s, totally updated, and my new lightning jack headphones doesn't work on my phone. it's not the headphones and theres nothing wrong with the jack, I can charge my phone is it something wrong in the operative system? or what? please help me

Hello,

There is probably lint in the charging port: start here: If your headphones don‘t work with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If no help, try this:

1) Open the Control Center

2) 3D press (or long press) on the music controls

3) Select the output option (little up-arrow with circles)

4) Select headphones
