Capitalizing letters randomly

I have a client who recently purchased an iMac with a wireless keyboard. He states that his keyboard randomly capitalizes letters. This is causing issues with online account credentials and passwords getting blocked.

I had him check System Preferences>Keyboard>Text to make sure the field, "Capitalize words automatically" was not flagged.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

He can take the shotgun approach and try the 3 following procedures as needed:

1 - Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

2 - How to reset the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac

3 - boot into Safe Mode and then reboot normally.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 10 minutes as it's doing some system cache cleaning, volume verifying and directory repairing.
