Mail on my MacBook

Mail on my MacBook won't send or receive emails, but my webmail account works. My ISP tech support says the problem is not with them. Any suggestions?

MacBook, OS X 10.11

Your ISP should have been able to provide you with the proper settings to configure the Mail application. Since you haven't identified the name of your ISP, no one here will be able to help you.
