How to reset payment method on a new Apple Account?

Would like to remove the payment method but seem it has to be reset as I have not been using this account for long. Any idea on how to reset an entire account?

Sorry I haven't heard of any way to reset an entire Apple Account.

Eg: If you have an active subscription (iCloud, etc.) seems the payment method needs to be active too,:

ie: you would need to add a new payment method before you can remove the old one.


Else you may be able to choose "None" as your payment method:


See whether Apple Support's online article (link below) can help your remove the payment method:

Remove a payment method from your Apple Account - Apple Support

Eg: says:

Remove a payment method on your iPhone,

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap your name.
  3. Tap Payment & Shipping.
  4. Tap Edit, tap the red Delete button, then tap Remove.
