MacBook won't turn on despite green charging light
Hello my MacBook has shut down on its own while being in use. The charging cord lights green when plugged to the laptop but the laptop will not turn on.

Please tell us the sub-model. Macbooks were in continuous production from 2006 through 2019 in different form factors. That affects troubleshooting, especially where we can neither see nor remotely access your device.
Also, some people call every Mac laptop a "MacBook" whether a Macbook Pro or Macbook Air.Make sure we have the right name.
Look on the underside of the case for a sticker or silkscreened printing that may show a model number. It will be five characters: either "M" or "A" depending on year, followed by four digits. On the imaage, it is in the upper yellow "bubble."
For security reasons, please DO NOT post the serial number here.
If your Mac is too old for Apple to repair it, an Apple Authorized Service Provider might be willing to do that. Get service should eventually direct you to one. Start with its blue Find a Location button. The results will be tailored to your particular location on Earth.
They informed me that my laptop is too old for their support and directed me here to the forum. Help is needed PLEASE!
