AirPlay not working with LG TV

I have recently just updated to IOS26 and have found that I can no longer airplay stream to my LG smart tv. Prior to this, it would work absolutely fine with no issues and it’s only stopped after I updated.

AirPlay not working on LG tv? I found the solution log onto your router settings. Disable 5G bandwidth low and high. Make sure to 2G bandwidth is enabled. Save settings . Apple nor LG could figure this out. I was on the phone for multiple hours. I’ve been trying to fix this for months. I finally figured it out by logging on into my router and noticing that my Samsung TV was connected to 2G and the airplay was working fine on the TV. I hope this works for you guys.

Why can’t I airplay to my Samsung tv anymore I’ve used AirPlay for numerous apps on my Samsung qled tv for years without an issue. The last few weeks I’ve noticed it not working. I have a iPhone 15 plus. WiFi works, my Mrs can mirror to the tv. I use YouTube, bfbs, discovery+ and none of them connect anymore. This is an obvious issue that apple are ignoring because there are other posts on here regarding the same issue. I’ve tried all the steps suggested in previous posts.

Airplay 1 not working after tvOS 17 update tvOS 17 update completely destroyed Airplay 1 functionality on my Apple TV 4K 2017. It's impossible to send audio from Apple TV to any Airplay 1 receiver and, more importantly, any app that still doesn't support Airplay 2 also fails to play. Many of these apps are quite popular: VLC, Plex (using old audio engine), Twitch. Yes, apps using the native Apple video player (AVPlayer) and apps with custom players supporting Airplay 2 all work, but it's still absolutely unacceptable to release a major new version with such a serious bug. I'm pretty sure this feature is not left out on purpose since all iOS 17 devices I've tested still support Airplay 1.

have you checked if the tv has a new firmware version, my LG did just the other day, not sure if it was airplay related but one could expect that changes with airplay could require firmware updates every now and then

yeah i’ve made sure that everything is fully up to date and have even tried the full reset trick but it still doesn’t seem to allow me to airplay
