I am always having to turn on MIDI note labels every time I open a MIDI region. Why do these settings not stick?

Thanks, I must have been mistaken, it is working now. Maybe a bug or just me!
I can not reproduce your issue. Even after closing and re-opening the project it's still displayed, also on new created regions on other tracks.
