OSX Photos Alternative (Basic Non-destructive Editing & Organization)

Looking for current recommendations for OSX Photos Alternatives (Basic Non-destructive Editing & Organization). I am looking to retire my use of the OSX Photos App after years of use that has come with a fair amount of frustration (dealing with large libraries, the container file, updating old libraries, duplicates, exif metadata, etc.). I would like to try alternate tools that do not lock the user in teh same way as Photos. Adobe Bridge is "Ok" but seems to crash a lot when I used it in the past.
