'Add eSIM' option is missing on my iPhone 16 Pro Max

1. Is this your corporate/organisation/enterprise/School Management iPhone? Then please contact the system administrator of your corporate//organisation/enterprise/School Management
2. If it is your device, in that case, do you have any profile installed by your corporate/organisation/enterprise/School Management?
   1. Erase the profile added by you If you have installed a profile on your own --> Install or remove configuration profiles on iPhone - Apple ...
   2. Or please contact the system administrator of the organisation who provided the profile to you

To be able to use any SIM/eSIM across the globe you must have "No SIM Restriction" against Network Provider Lock. Please refer to the pic below.

Troubleshooting the eSIM Card:

If you cannot get your eSIM card to work, then contact your Carrier, as they are the one who provide you with the service of configuring the eSIM card.

If you have an option for eSIM on your device then you will have EID. Please check if you have it.

Settings > General > About > EID (See the pic below)

"thank you for your suggestion… but what I mean is there is no “add eSIM” option in the settings. Which was previously there when I added my eSIM about several months ago and iOS ago. But now it’s gone."

1. Carrier Restriction
   1. Your carrier may not support eSIM or may have disabled the feature on your iPhone.
   2. What to check: Go to Settings > General > About. Scroll down to Carrier Lock. If it says "No SIM restrictions", your phone is unlocked.
   3. Also check: Settings > Cellular > Add Cellular Plan – if it’s missing, it may be carrier-blocked.
2. Not the Right Region
   1. Some regions and models don’t support eSIM due to local regulations or market versions.

Did you contact your carrier, as was suggested in earlier replies?

The iPhone is only going to display the options that are being provided by your carrier. Apple does not control this.

I use my esim one my 15 pro max, it does not work on 16 pro max?
