Hello!

Go to: Settings > Apple Intelligence & Siri > Talk & Type to Siri. Now, select “Off” from the options at the top. And provided the bottom two toggles are enabled, you will now be able to summon Siri by double tapping the bottom of your phone, or holding the side (lock) button.

Take care!

All you need to do is turn it off. Any personal assistant has to listen for the activation word, which is the whole point of using one. It is not turned on by default, so you would have had to set it up.

You can also reduce false activations if you still want to use Siri by changing the activation word to "Hey Siri". This will make it so when hearing a word like "Seriously" with the emphasis on SERI, or even words like "Shirley", won't produce a false activation. The choice is yours what you want to do.

This is not unique to Siri. Ask a person with Amazon Alexa about the problems they have when there is a family member named "Alexis".
