Missing 'Locations' list in Safari search on iPhone

My safari no longer gives me the “Locations” list when searching for nearby places. I only get websites of so called place and most some are not even of a nearby location. On the top of the page I do have the text “results for:my location” but I am still not given the big list of nearby locations that it usually did.

On my ipad it does, but on my phone it does not. I have doubled check my location settings and permissions but I haven’t changed anything within my location settings for months. This started 2 weeks ago. Is it a safari update? or can i fix it?
