How to save the width of the effects browser in Final Cut Pro?

For some reason when I save my workspace, it seems to not save the width of the effect browser

1. Adjust the width of the effects browser.
2. Update the workspace.
3. Quit FCP with option+⌘Q.
4. Launch FCP. The adjusted workspace will be displayed.

I was able to reproduce fox_m's suggestion correctly.

There is no way to save window pane sizes.

It can be difficult to grab between panes to resize. But if you go to the title bars (top) of a pane, the borders seem to be easier to grab. Why this hasn’t been made realistically usable in 14 years, I have no clue.

You should be able to "hover" the mouse over the borders of the browsers until the cursor changes to the vertical bar w/opposing arrows, then click and drag to resize the browsers/inspectors. As Ben suggestion, this can be difficult to do easily...

When you set up your window with the browser sizes you want available when you start up, then hold down the Option key and select Quit and Keep Windows from the Final Cut Pro menu (or type Command-Option Q)... (This may or may not work... but it seems to work most of the time for me.)
