How can I set up sleep timer for BritBox on iPad?

I use the "stop playing" timer successfully with Youtube. But when I use it on Britbox, it only cuts out the picture, while the sound continues to play - for hours.

I need to reset the "stop playing" function regularly because it keeps jumping back to "radial" frequently, but once set it works on Youtube.

What can I do to make it work for Britbox?

Are you using a specific App to access and view Britbox - noting that the Britbox App is seemingly no longer available for download?

I've had no problem using the sleep timer with a third party podcast app but I don't have any experience with tying to use it with Britbox. I can't offer any other suggestions as I only ever watch video on an actual television and the sleep timer on the TV works.

Britbox is indeed available on the Apple App Store here in Canada.

But I have the same problem with the Netflix app: the "stop playing" feature of the iPad timer only stops the image (showing the opening screen instead) but the sound/actual video continue to play.

It's also available here in the U.S.

Given that the feature works with YouTube, a third-party app, I would surmise that it isn't Apple that's preventing this from working. I would submit feedback to Britbox. They may also have some suggestions.

It is possible that the problem lies with the third party apps. That said, the iPad timer is fraught with problems already, like the "stop playing" feature frequently switching back to "radial". So I thought I'd check to see if anyone might have a solution.
