Mail merge with Pages & Avery labels 8160

Trying to make mailing labels for my class reunion of 354. Got my Avery template send to pages. Got my address exported from contacts & have merged them. But only one name comes up on first label, all others are blank. In direction it said after merge to update on Pages but found no option to update. Tried printing just regular paper, kept printing more pages with a different name in first or top label which wouldn’t have been next name. I need help. I’m old, trying to learn new things is hard.
