Phone number not associated with iPhone for iMessage and FaceTime

I received a message stating that my phone number is registered to my Apple Account but is not associated with this phone and that i can keep using my number for iMessages and FaceTime for only four more days. I suspect this is related to my recent return from a vacation in Europe where I purchased a SIM card. On returning to Canada I removed the SIM card I used in Europe and reinserted my usual SIM card. How do I resolve this so my number is associated with my phone and I can continue using iMessage and FaceTime?

Go to Settings/Apps/Phone. Tap on My Number and correct it.

Then log out of both FaceTime and Messages:

For Messages:

  • Open Settings
  • Tap Apps
  • Tap Messages
  • If iMessage is off, turn it on
  • Tap Send & Receive
  • Scroll down until you see AppleID: and your Apple ID
  • Tap your Apple ID
  • Tap Sign Out
  • Tap Messages at the top left to go back to the main Messages page
  • Tap Settings at the top left to go back to Settings/Apps

For FaceTime:

  • Make sure you are still in Settings/Apps
  • Tap FaceTime
  • If FaceTime is off, turn it on
  • Scroll down until you see AppleID: and your Apple ID
  • Tap on your Apple ID
  • Tap Sign Out
  • Restart your phone→Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

Now go to Settings/Apps again, and log back in to FaceTime and messages.
