'Sim Not Supported' screen on iPhone 14 Pro Max with eSIM

Any way to bypass the Sim Not Supported screen? Need to continue into iOS to fix the issue in settings. The old way was to pull the sim card and it would boot but now you cant do that with the iphone 14 pro max it’s all ESIM. ESIM needs to be removed to continue. iPhone worked just fine before attempting to switch carriers and discovering it is carrier locked. There must be a way to hard reset ESIM data or this is a major design flaw.

If the phone is carrier locked, you can't switch carriers unless the carrier the phone is locked to is willing to release the phone. Apple cannot remove a carrier lock in any way. It is not a design flaw in any way. You simply cannot move to a different carrier without the carrier it is locked to removing the lock. Contact them and find out IF you qualify for carrier unlock and understand that could require you pay off any remaining fees owed to the carrier.

The issue is not whether or not the iPhone is carrier locked or not. The issue is the apparent inability or incapability rather to remove said eSIM. This is in fact a design flaw. If one were to put a physical ATT sim in to a Verizon phone for example they would be greeted by the same message “Sim not supported”. The difference is that they simply may remove the sim and carry on. If anyone has relative and helpful information it would be very much appreciated.

Sure, if you had a phone with a physical SIM Card, which is locked to Verizon, you could remove the SIM. But that doesn't mean you then walk on over to AT&T and insert a SIM from them and your phone will work with AT&T. You seem to be upset you can't "remove" an eSim from your carrier to then use another carrier. It's really no different than a physical SIM, it's just electronic. The fact remains if your phone is locked to a carrier, you can't unlock it yourself. ONLY the carrier you are locked to can remove the eSim from your phone. You can't just remove an eSim and "carry on."

Those are the facts, whether you like them or not.
