How to selectively delete multiple recent calls on iPhone?

My Recent calls list shows numerous calls to and from the same people. With my previous Android phone I could select a particular contact and select several calls to delete while leaving the most recent one intact. Is there a way that I can do this on my iPhone? So far as I can see I can only either delete the entire list or calls one at a time which is laborious.

You cannot select by particular contact, but if you go to Recents, then tap on Edit, then Select, you will see the red minus sign icon to the left of a call. That will allow you to delete individual calls. There is no setting to select multiple calls to be deleted. The Clear command in the upper right corner will clear everything.

If you wish to let Apple know that you would like to see a change to this, use the feedback link here, Feedback - iPhone - Apple Enough people provide feedback about this it could change. We used to not have the ability to ever delete individual calls and feedback got that changed years ago.
