Why does my Apple Watch stop giving heart rate updates info when listening to podcasts?
Apple watch workout voice feedback cuts off before providing heart rate info when listening to podcasts or music and leaves an uncomfortably long pause before returning to the podcast or music. So when your heart rate drops below or above the minimum and maximum levels you've set for working out and you have voice feedback set to active, Siri says "below range" or "above range" and if you're not listening to anything else Siri also reads out your current heart rate (or whatever you're measuring). If listening to something else on your watch (books, music, podcasts), it cuts out and leaves a large pause. It's also inconsistent - today at the gym it read the heart rate out twice, but ignored it every other time (at least 50 other instances). it does this regardless of the headphones I use including AirPods.
The watch gets restarted fairly regularly and this doesn't help. I'm extremely reluctant to re-pair or reset the watch as this comes with a whole world of credit/debit card setup pain along with a whole host of other customisation woes. If memory serves this also happens on my series 6 although I haven't used it for a while. anyone else notice this? the inconsistency makes me think it must be some kind of bug...
