How can I upgrade my 5-year-old iPad Pro for digital art and school work without breaking the bank?

Hey everyone!

Recently, I’ve been wanting to upgrade my iPad Pro—my current one is about 5 years old and has some performance/battery issues. I mostly use my iPad for digital art and sometimes school work. Does anyone have any recommendations for a new iPad or ways to upgrade that would be less expensive than usual (such as trading if Apple even does that)?
