I have an old Logic 4 file that contains a piano piece that I would like to recover so I can use it with newest Logic Pro X
Is there anybody out there who can extract this Logic 4 midi file for me...it is only a
midi file of a piano.Would be forever in your debt !! ;-))

Not entirely certain but I believe Logic Pro 11 and 10 are backwards compatible and can open projects created in Logic Pro 5 or later. The only way you would be able to open a Logic Pro 4 session would be if you own it or know someone who does.
Have you tried opening the Logic Pro 4 session? Does it work?

Hi Eddy, I work with Logic 11 and cannot by any means open this logic 4 file....I need someone with said 4.
What do you mean with "Logic Pro 4 session" surely one needs logic 4 which is absolutely not compatible with latest Macos....and there lies the rub....I need an older macos version from way back.
