Why is my child’s Apple Watch SE 2 getting calls from unknown numbers?

(It’s difficult for me to type this without sounding defensive so read with an open mind)

No I didn’t mention it in those exact words and maybe I should’ve. Nothing I’ve said indicates I’ve only set up School Time. When setting up a child’s account one of the set up processes is the communication settings. I’ve exhausted countless options before turning to the community. I only get her a couple days a week so I’m on limited time with messing with it. I’m no high level tech guy or anything like that but I have done lots of research and have talked to the Apple support for hours on different levels of security all the way from passwords to advance data protection and setting up security keys and encrypting forms because of consent forms through work and all.

So after contacting Apple support 2 times they have instructed me to try and update (which it was) then had me reset watch and even unpair and pair again…. And both times when finished they asked did it work…. I inform them I will not know until I get a call… they then said they would call and the numbers still showed up in recent calls they said it was normal I felt like that shouldn’t be a thing like why display. Well later that day a call came through from a unknown number so apparently it’s only certain numbers and I’m not sure what the pattern is. Just sucks cause it freaks my daughter out I dunno why it does but she’s 6 so she gets a pass.

Data leak? Not sure what ya mean by that. Yeah I have went through all setting on my phone and her watch and it all looked ok. I’ll check it out and see what they say.
