How to fix incorrect passcode error when setting up Apple ID on a new MacBook?

Everytime I try it tells me to “enter the passcode you use to unlock the iPhone (my iPhone)” but everytime I put in my phones passcode, it tells me it’s incorrect. I’ve tried many times and googled almost everything and it still won’t work. What do I do?

MacBook Air - Incorrect iPhone Passcode I just recently got my MacBook Air. I have logged in and everything. My iCloud is also logged in on my laptop. It gives me a settings warning about “Update Apple ID Settings,” saying some account services will not be available until you sign in again. MacBook Pro wont accept my iPhone's lock screen passcode i just got a new MacBook Pro, on macOS 13.5.1, and it keeps prompting me to update my Apple ID settings. I click into it and before I can proceed, I have to enter 3 passwords: 1) for my apple ID, which I get correct. 2) for my mac, which I get correct. 3) for my iPhone, which IS correct! But my Mac repeatedly tells me it is incorrect. I have already covered the camera of my iPhone to force it to prompt for the 4-digit code, which i get correct and unlock my iPhone with. I have done this multiple times!! And when I go back into my Mac, it STILL says it isnt correct. I have tried clicking "don't know my password", which it then prompts me to pick another device, and my apple watch is not an option. So i cannot proceed!! What am I doing wrong, if anything, and how do I proceed in order to update my apple ID settings?

You might want to skip the set up procedure now, go on with the install process, and sign on later from system settings
