New 2024 M4 Pro MacBook Logic not playing back correctly

I recently upgraded my laptop from a 2023 M3 Base MacBook Pro to a 2024 M4 Pro MacBook Pro in hopes of allowing myself to do more with music production. Specifically Pro Tools, but I use Logic as well. In transferring all the data from my 2023 MB pro to my 2024 MB pro I used migration with a thunderbolt cable. Everything seemed to transfer well, but when I go to use Logic, it cuts out the vocal track I have recorded every 30 seconds or so. It is not an issue with my mic and interface as it works with my 2023 MB pro and there is even waveform information indicating it picked up signal, but every 30 seconds or so, at the exact same spot every time, it cuts out just the vocal track during playback (and recording) but leaves the main instrumental playing. This has been infuriating as I try to work on new music on my new MB and I want to sell my old one, but right now I have to use the 2023 one to record. If anyone has had similar problems or has any help please let me know! I have tried moving Logic to the trash, emptying it and redownloading it with no avail, and am hesitant to wipe Logic clean until I can do another backup (which never fully seems to backup my Logic files anyway). Frustrated.

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 15.5

Hello - The same issue has been happening to me as well. The issue EddieGray pointed out does not provide a solution. I also attempted to adjust the microphone permissions/authorization, but that hasn't helped. The suggestions I have tried:

  1. Switching cable length
  2. Switching USB port
  3. Switching audio interface (main box is a Behringer UMC204HD, but still happens with a Focusrite 2i2)
  4. Switching microphone (condenser and dynamic tried)
  5. Switching power supply (i.e. moved to a plug on the wall vs a power bar)
  6. Switched IO and buffer settings
  7. Ensured that my sample rates were the same between the interface and the DAW

So far nothing has helped. What am I missing?

Thanks!
