Since 17th May since upgrading from ios 18.4.3 to 18.5, i get some lag typing and delay touching apps and buttons. The phone overheats and not used half my storage.
anyone else had this?

Perhaps a long shot:
Do you have a 3rd party VPN installed, even if you are not using it? If so, delete the VPN profile in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN. Don't just turn it off; delete the profile. If that fixes it, you can try reinstalling VPN.

Same issue on iPhone 16 Pro with iOS 18.5. It would overheat even after a restart.
i also had VPN profiles.. deleted all of them, and that seems to have fixed it…

Ah yes used avast for mobile which has VPN so hopefully it is that.
Yes that seemed to help but getting overheating especially using spotify which lags when touching the button and slows everything down.
