How do I fix Portrait Orientation issue on iPhone 16 Pro screen after iOS 18.4.1 update?

Ever since I updated my IPhone 16 Pro to IOS 18.4.1, I have experienced some of the already reported issues; disconnecting from wireless car play mode devices, some flickering of the screen until I shut down phone and restarted it, and some of the other hassles.

But I have not seen anything about the screen orientation issue. When I rotate my phone to horizontal, my screen flips but in upside orientation. Some apps are more conducive to this (like YouTube) than others (like the browser), but in all cases I do get

a screen flip where it seems to be correcting itself, but often, it won’t correct. If I close the app, and restart it, it often manages to autocorrect the screen orientation. Any tips or explanation related to this symptom? Thanks
