iPhone 16 plus not syncing dowloaded songs

When I synch music to my iPhone 16 plus it is only transferring the songs I purchased and the ones that I transferred from a CD all other songs are not synching. Songs that I have downloaded in the past are not syncing is there a way to fix this issue?

Transferring music from iphone to itunes I'm following the steps to transfer purchased music from my iphone to my itunes library and a quick message at the top of the screen says it's preparing to sync, but then I can't tell if it's doing anything. I have it set to show the status bar at the bottom of the screen but it's not doing anything. How do I know if it's working?
