why does iMovie take so long to open short projects

I have an iPad Pro 11” M4 512GB. I made a magic movie with 7 slides and it takes forever to open. So long I give up. Can it be that the images are too big or toohigh in resolution?

iMovie on iPad won't transition to a different photo I am using iMovie version 3.0.5 on my iPad with iOS 18.2. I am trying to make a movie in iMovie. When I add multiple pictures, it will only show the first photo. It will not transition into the new picture in edit mode or just playing it from the project list. When I manually move the play line, it will transition, but when I hit the play button, it will not. I have added different types of transitions, deleted transitions, and it still will only show the first picture. I've never experienced this issue before. Is there something that needs to be updated in the app?

IOS iMovie suddenly glitchy Since the update, it’s a crapshoot with loaded dice whether I can get my project saved to my photos. -one success -one saved with no sound -one saved without music -one saved with one clip frozen with no sound -umpteen “unable to export Project” messages -now it either freezes during editing, or goes black, or says “clip must be downloaded from icloud(I don’t use iCloud) I have saved the project. I don’t really want to delete the app and start again.i have a feeling this won’t help. I managed to send the project to a newer iPad - hoping it will los the project. I had to update it so I won’t know yet. are there any quick and dirty fixes for this? and yes, I have enough space. if not, after 7 years of success with it…I guess I’ll have to use something else.

Hi,

Sometimes rebooting the phone helps issues like you mention. Try shutting it down and then booting up again.
