Apple Fitness + not launching on Apple TV

Same issue. Apple broke something over two months ago with one of their updates and I haven’t been able to use Apple fitness on the apple tv since then.

Have had to airplay from another device.

Unless someone else chimes in with a solid idea, I would suggest to contact an expert from the Apple Support staff for further assistance. Contact Apple for support and service (phone numbers) or start your support request online (chat/​email/​callback).

Ok I got this working, what I did was hard reset my Apple Watch.

Please follow these steps:

Press and hold both the side button and Digital Crown until the screen turns black and the Apple logo reappears, then release both buttons.

You should now be able to open your fitness plus app on your Apple TV re-pair the watch and it should work.

I have first gen SE watch also, its running 10.6.1, I feel like this started for me around the time when TvOS 18.4 rolled out.

I have been through resetting the watch and TV but not consistently sticks. I have had cases where this would randomly start working again but the next time I use it, its back to the loading spinner again.

Its annoying but I can at least make do with Airplaying it from another device until hopefully this gets fixed.

Same issue here, but I have an Apple Watch series 5 (model MWW72LL/A) running Watch OS 10.6.1 and TV OS 18.5. Definitely seems to be some kind of disconnect or miscommunication between the Apple TV and the watch. Tried restarting my watch and the Apple TV but no joy. Haven't gotten it to work once in like two months (haven't been using Apple Fitness+ a lot lately). After initiating the connection from the TV to my watch and confirming on the watch, the two just can't seem to find or talk to each other properly. The TV seems to think it's still connected to the watch, as it doesn't pop up an error that its lost connection. Who knows. C'mon, Apple!

I'll have to call their support when I have time.

Ok after I worked out the first solution further up in this thread that worked for a while but then stopped working altogether again, I've now found another solution (Apple should give me a job really haha)

If you connect to Apple Fitness via your iPhone first, let it connect and load up the fitness + Home Screen, then log out of fitness/disconnect iPhone and THEN connect/log in with Apple Watch, it should work.

It works for me every time now.

Hopefully future updates will fix, but for now this is ok for me.

Nice one, this also works for me. It is like connecting the phone first allows preloading the content before switching to the watch. I hope they patch watch OS 10, but seeing that it is going to be two versions behind soon, I wont hold my breath.

It’s happening to me also, can’t find any solution, I’ve tried resetting my box, updating etc.
