iPhone SE not supporting 5G SIMs after Update

I've the iPhone SE (model: mp822hn/a) older version.

Updated to the latest Software to 15.8.4.

Now the problem is the phone doesn't work with any 5G sims. I tried multiple Airtel SIMs and JIO SIMs. I'm unable to make/get calls, but I'm able to send/receive SMS. Also I see the network strength decent, even tried going to Airtel office to get the 5G SIM checked, SIM is good.

But if I try BSNL's 4G sim, I'm able to make/get calls.

If I change network mode from 4G to 3G as below, I don't even see Airtel Network, I get No Service.

Mobile Data-->Mobile Data Options-->Voice & Data-->4G

Can someone please help me with the solution.

iPhone SE, iOS 15

That is not a 5G capable device. Early in the transition period from 4G LTE to 5G, many carriers issues SIM cards that would work in either a 4G or 5G capable phone.

Phones that are not 5G capable haven't been manufactured in quite some time now and most carriers issue SIM cards that will only work in a 5G capable phone. That does NOT mean that they can't get a 4G signal, just that the phone MUST be 5G capable.

Your iPhone SE is not, and therefore will not work with that SIM.

It's time for a new phone. That one is obsolete.

The SIM works fine with Nokia-108 basic handset, I'm able to make/get calls and send/receive messages.

OK. Nokia is not Apple. That doesn't change the fact that your iPhone SE is NOT 5G capable. If the SIM card won't work in your SE, then contact your carrier for help. Apple doesn't provide cellular services. Your carrier does.
