Suggestion: Make photo editing easier in the iPhone Photos app

Hi, I use an iPhone 14 Pro and I’d like to suggest making photo editing in the Photos app easier.

Right now, while the editing tool offers many options, it’s not easy to improve image quality (like color, brightness or sharpness) if you don’t have technical knowledge about photography. Sometimes the auto-adjust feature doesn’t give the best result, and manual editing can be confusing.

It would be great if:

  • There was a simplified or guided editing mode for non-experts.

  • Basic adjustments (like lighting or sharpness) could be applied to multiple photos at once.

  • There were previews or smart suggestions based on each photo, similar to third-party apps.

Thanks for reading. Does anyone else feel the same?

Very good suggestions.

Some of this can be done already - perhaps Apple could make it easier to find the tools.

  • Have you tried the magic wand? It is marked "Auto" in the Adjustments tools and will apply a mixture of automatic adjustment.
  • The "filter" tab offers a selection of predefined effects to change the mood of a photo.
  • To batch apply adjustments to several photos, adjust one of them to your liking, then copy the adjustments from one photo, then select several other photos and paste the adjustments onto the selected photos.
