Why does my iPhone Screen Time control keep turning off?

My mum has set up remote screen time controls on my phone. I cannot edit them from my own phone even if I had the password - the controls to it are all on her phone (this is good because I am no longer able to hack it, mostly). But there’s a bug where it will just randomly turn off, and I think I’ve found out the conditions for the glitch activating. I’m going to copy and paste what I sent to my mother because I am very lazy. “I did some tinkering with the “one more minute” button a few nights ago - Basically whenever extra screentime is “granted” during downtime there’s a chance it’ll freak out and grant permanent screentime to all apps and websites while still displaying “downtime will be limited until…” including when there shouldn’t even be downtime (with the exception of geometry dash for some reason, its always unusable). I do not know why it does this”.

What I am curious about is what actually causes it. I know what the trigger condition for the bug is, but I don’t know what actually causes it and why Apple hasn’t fixed this.
