I can’t play episodes, it no longer updates and I can’t follow shows. I’ve deleted and reinstalled endlessly. I’m on an iPhone 15. Please help, podcasts are my life

Me too. It’s driving me crazy. It stopped working completely after the last iOS update. How can we get Apple to do something about it? Judging by the reviews on the App Store others have this problem too.
It’s such a back step as it worked fine for me for years then suddenly…no updates! You’ve reignited my anger and I think I might raise this with the MSP for Gaelic (not that anyone will care).
Have you tried going into a store? I haven’t yet but I will if it doesn’t resolve soon. If it’s a known fault, I’d rather apple just said so I can move on. I sound really dramatic but I spend so much time listening to podcasts it’s really annoying!
The oppression never ends… this is ridiculous. I wonder if I can report it as an error?
It’s a minority language thing - someone else had the same problem with Basque (and, having a massive chip on my shoulder, I conclude that it must be deliberate and political).
I’ve switched mine back to Welsh but I can’t tell yet whether the feeds are updating. Will report back.
I’ve had to switch from Cymraeg to Saesneg for podcasts to update. (Thanks community for the solution) When I’ve switched back to Cymraeg - quel surpris, calendar etc., still in English and no further updates. My chip is growing into a
massive field of potatoes with US tech defining what is a “minority language”
No fix yet. Episodes wont update when using Basque as the first localizarion language on my iPhone. Also can”t play episodes listed but never played. If language is changed to english everything gets fixed but appears again if changed back to Basque. Apple please fix this.
Software update this morning gave me false hope! Updated and still doesn’t work, have you had any luck? I’ve actually cancelled some of my podcast subscriptions as I can’t listen to the paid content as the subscription doesn’t work on other platforms.
I hope it is just lack of proper testing from Apple Engineers. My issue was fixed after switching from Basque to English, then open de Podcast app, and then switch back to my language. Now everything seems ok. Good luck.
by the way, Apple, will I ever be able to have my iPhone in my language (Basque)? Android has the option for many years now
Same! I can’t get to a store until the end of the month so fingers crossed it will be sorted before then.
What language is your phone is? I switched mine from Welsh to English and now it works!
