Tapping space bar erases predictive inline words instead of accepting them. My iPhone is currently on iOS 18.4. Can anyone help me figure out why? My keyboard Predictive text and Show predictions inline switches are on and Full Keyboard Access is off.

Predictive Text Issue with Space Bar:
A. Start with a Force Restart:
Save what need be, and then Force Restart you iPhone. Go Here: Force Restart iPhone - Apple Support
B. Reenable Predictive Text:
Turn Predictive Text off and then back on. Turning off the Predictive Text setting turns off both Predictive Text and inline text predictions. If you reject the same suggestion a few times, iPhone stops suggesting it.
C. Restore form a Backup:
Have a backup of your iPhone? If you are not concerned with losing data, then restore your iPhone from a backup that was made when this issue was not occurring. IMPORTANT: Prior to restoring, backup your iPhone to a computer, incase anything goes wrong with the restoration.
I followed your suggestions for A and B but tapping space bare still erases the suggested inline text. I did not do “C restore from a backup”. This is frustrating.
