and scroll down to "AirPlay 2-Enabled TVs"

it's rather unlikely the list is up to date though so you can also read the specs and or the documentation for your tv is it support airplay and or how to enable it in the tvs settings

if the tv do not support airplay then your options are

1. get the appletv box Apple TV 4K - Apple and connect that to the tv and airplay to that
2. if the tv support MIRAcast or chomecast then you can look in app store for apps which enable using those protocols
3. or do it by cable from the iphone to the tv using the AV adaptor

Else Plug a Lightning Digital AV Adapter or Lightning to VGA Adapter into the charging port on the bottom of iPhone. Connect an HDMI or VGA cable to the adapter. Connect the other end of the HDMI or VGA cable to the monitor, TV, or projector. If necessary, switch to the correct video source on the monitor, TV, or projector.

If you've already restarted your router, check your TV settings to see whether AirPlay is enabled. Go to Settings > Apple AirPlay and HomeKit, and make sure the toggle is set to On.

By the way, what kind of TV do you have? Not all Sony TVs support AirPlay 2. Newer models do, but many older ones don’t.

You can also use a wired connection, which always works reliably.

You need a Lightning Digital AV Adapter (by Apple) and an HDMI cable. Connect the adapter to your iPhone, plug one end of the HDMI cable into the adapter, and the other into your Sony TV. Then switch the TV to the correct HDMI input, and your iPhone screen will appear instantly.

If you don’t like using a cable, consider using screen mirroring apps. There are plenty of them in the App Store, just search for mirror apps or something similar.

There are some third-party apps that may allow you to stream to an unsupported device. However, I have no experience with them so I can't recommend anything.

The other option would be to get something like an. Apple TV (expensive) or a Roku (cheaper) that connect to your television and which support AirPlay.

Seems your Sony TV doesn't support AirPlay. Check your TV model here. In that case, you can try screen mirroring apps like this one or use a cable for mirroring instead.
