iCloudDrive.exe reads awful amount of data

Some time ago, I upgraded my iCloud storage to 2TB. Today, I saved approximately 30GB of data into a folder to synchronize with iCloud. A few minutes later, I realized this was a mistake and decided to cancel the upload by removing the files from my local C: drive.

Afterward, I monitored the iCloudDrive.exe process and noticed something unusual—it had accumulated around 6TB of IO activity. I then rebooted my laptop. However, even after two hours online, the process is still generating a high volume of IO reads.

What could be causing this behavior?
