Why does Safari stop working with Limit IP Address Tracking?

my iPhone 12 suddenly stopped allowing me to use my Safari Browser to log into any website. Don’t know why that happened suddenly.

if I switch the Limit IP address Tracking off, Safari works fine. From a security perspective I would to have it switched on, but it has started to restrict any access. Why is that? Is there a solution to this issue on the iPhone 12? Please let me know. Thank you.

Does this occur wherever you are located. This setting is for wi-fi. Are you able to get things to work when you are on cellular? The only place I have found an issue is with my work wi-fi, so i just use cellular there.

Hi ChrisJ4203, the problem occurs only when I’m in WiFi mode with the Limit IP address Tracking switched on. As soon as turn it off, safari connects to any website.

I had used the phone for a couple of years with the Limit IP tracking switched on, but for some reason it has stopped working!

When I switch off the wifi, the phone switches to 4G and connects easily to all websites.

Does this occur on all wi-fi networks, or just specific ones? Do you have wi-fi at home and does it happen there? Have you tried any other wi-fi, such as public wi-fi like a library, coffee shop, etc.?

Many websites want to track your activity, harvest your personal information, etc, and won't work if they determine you are making it difficult for them to do that.

Hi John, I wouldn’t expect all normally safe websites to stop access, so I think there might be something going on with my phone or WiFi settings or router.
