If it is just one CD, consider that may be a defective or degrading disc. That is becoming more and more common as CDs age.

If it is happening on every CD that you rip, error correction may help. Follow this classic advice:

"If the “Use error correction when reading Audio CDs” checkbox isn’t selected, select it. If it’s already selected, deselect it."
