Can I get Garageband to install on a mac mini running Monterey

Hi all. I have a 2014 Mac Mini. (Macmini7,1) I upgraded to an iMac but want to keep the old one to run Garageband for sketches as it's got 1TB of storage.

It crashed and I had to reinstall Mac OS (Monterey, 12.7.6 ) and Garageband has disappeared from my Applications

Is there a way of getting Garageband back?

After I bit the bullet and "upgraded" from Catalina to Big Sur (only because I will soon need it for QLab 5), the installer told me that GarageBand (v 10.3.5) was "damaged", and that I would have to delete it and download it from the App Store. I thought "Fine, a newer version of GarageBand could be okay". Now the App Store will only show me version 10.4.7, which requires macOS 12.3 or later. So, what version will work, and where can I get it? I've seen some things in the App Store that you could only find by a deep-link into the App Store (something like an earlier OS version, IIRC), but not by searching from within the App Store.

Install Logic Pro (Trial) on macOS 12.7.2 (Monterey) Hi, I updated to macOS 12.7.2 and now Garageband does not work. I thought it would be as good a time as any to try installing logic pro as a trial. But, in the App Store, it does not offer that option. Should the App Store not match the installed OS? And how do I install Logic Pro?

Older version of GarageBand I upgraded from an older MacBook Pro to a new MacBook Air and have had nothing but problems. I still have the MacBook Pro, which is running Big Sur, but when I cleaned it out the GarageBand app was deleted. Is there any way to find and download an older version of GarageBand that will run in a 2014 MacBook Pro running Big Sur? If so I'll simply go back to the old computer for music production.

Danny,

I would try downloading GB from the App Store. I can't say it will work for an old system, but worth a try.

Log into the Apple store and click your face. That should let you download the old version,
