Where is GarageBand for Big Sur?

After I bit the bullet and "upgraded" from Catalina to Big Sur (only because I will soon need it for QLab 5), the installer told me that GarageBand (v 10.3.5) was "damaged", and that I would have to delete it and download it from the App Store.

I thought "Fine, a newer version of GarageBand could be okay". Now the App Store will only show me version 10.4.7, which requires macOS 12.3 or later.

So, what version will work, and where can I get it? I've seen some things in the App Store that you could only find by a deep-link into the App Store (something like an earlier OS version, IIRC), but not by searching from within the App Store.

Hey ! Did you finally found an earlier version of GarageBand. I'm in the same scenario than you, and looking for a version that will work under Big Sur (I can't upgrade to Monterey my Mac being "too old" pff it works soo well).

Would like to download and get GB version 10.4 that seems to work with My MacOS BigSur 11.7.5

Anyone could help me please ? Thanks you :)

For what it's worth, I get this alert when I try to run GarageBand now:

You do not have permission to open the application “GarageBand.app”.

Contact your computer or network administrator for assistance.

Then this Problem Report:

[Sorry. Forum does not appear to tolerate posting of diagnostic logs.]

It does not appear in the Privacy & Security prefs.

Could it be a simple matter of having Disk Utility check and/or repair permissions? (Not that Disk Utility seems to be able to do that anymore, unless it's hidden in the general "Repair" option.)

"Look in your purchases..." - You would think so.

It is there, dated March 19, 2020. When I click on it the App Store just goes to version 10.4.7, which "Requires macOS 12.3 or later".

There is nothing between what I have and what I can't run.

Well, sure I can "upgrade" to Monterey, but that is my very last resort, because each upgrade results in fewer useful apps or apps with removed features. This is just stupid. And Evil.
