Recording duplicates itself until the end of the track

After I stop recording voice, the recording duplicates itself until the end of the track. It records as normal, but when I stop recording, it automatically creates many duplicates of itself. I worked normally before in this project. I restarted my Macbook, but the problem persists. I opened another project, and it doesn't have this problem. I can copy the tracks to a new project, but is there a way to turn off this function/bug in the existing project?
