Why does my album artwork keep changing on Apple Music?

An album that I recorded (Diamond Dogs) and artwork that I installed was replaced with a photo of David Bowie from a compilation album. Also on another artist. Propaganda (the 80’s group), the artwork was replaced with a photo of Propaganda (the hip hop artist). On the first one, the artwork was right in the computer, but after syncing the phone or iPod the artwork goes back to the incorrect picture. Deleting the album/songs/artist and re doing them on the computer before syncing also has no effect. This is so annoying because Apple has no right to interrupt or change anything that I recorded. It’s different with the propaganda CD because that photo of some dude with dreadlocks keeps replacing the actual artwork. That one should be easy since one is from the 80’s post punk era and the other is a new artist. What’s going on Apple? These problems are more “Windows like” and not something that should be happening on an Apple. Who is writing this code?

Hi,

See If you have music that won't play on your device - Apple Community. While a somewhat tangential issue I suspect that repeated syncing won't fix this problem, and you're probably going to need to remove all music from the device and resyncing, or worse go through the more thorough approach of a full backup, restore as new device, restore backup, and reload media. Essentially I think the artwork cache on the device is broken and needs to be fully reset to fix this issue.
